About Me
My name is Sarah Nagle. I am passionate about makerspaces and maker-centered learning, both in informal learning environments and in higher education. I love helping students explore new technologies and learn new skills. It's the most fulfilling feeling when students have that "lightbulb moment", and their project finally comes together. In my current role as Creation and Innovation Services Librarian at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, I founded and co-run a busy academic library makerspace. I work with faculty to incorporate maker-centered learning in their courses.
My current research interests include equity in maker/creative spaces, creating welcoming and inclusive library makerspaces, and using creativity to combat burnout in the workplace.
I have over a decade of experience in library makerspaces, in both public and academic libraries, and I have published and presented extensively on a range of topics related to my work.
